FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What is the best time to lay a horse?

This is the hardest question of all. I normally try and get on, as early as possible, as a good percentage of horses I lay drift. Thats not to say they all, but I have found in my experience that its the percentage call. The best time i think is about 2 to 3 hours before the race. But if there is plenty of money around i will get on as early as I can.
I rarely wait till the off.

What Stake should I use and what Bank roll do I need?

The stake you use should depend on what you feel comfortable with and what you can afford. Over time you can increase this stake as your bank roll increases. The bank roll should depend on your stake. Normally your bank roll should be at least 8-10 times your stake.I would recommend 15 times your stake, but it all depends on how much risk your willing to take.

What time do you normally send out your tips?

I guarantee to have my lays out by 1pm on the day. They will usually be a out a lot earlier, but this is the guaranteed time by.

What is the maximum price I should lay?

I look to give lays with a maximum price of 9/2. The maximum price I recommend laying at is 6.5.
